Where Her Story Begins

I was born in Los Angeles and am of Guatemalan descent. I was born prematurely and was small enough to fit in a shoe box. I spent the first four months of my life in an incubator. I think this is why I am such a fighter.

How Connie Came Into Acting

I always dreamed of becoming an actress my whole life; however, I did not begin my artist journey until college — when I was accepted to American Musical and Dramatic Academy — where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art.

What Drew Her to Voice Acting:

I love to listen to the way people talk. I’m always fascinated when I hear different accents and dialects. Getting to bring characters to life only using my voice is a fun and interesting challenge.

One Thing Connie Does to Sharpen Her Skill

People watch. Humans are incredibly interesting. Whether in line at the store, walking in my neighborhood or sitting in a café. People are like snowflakes; no two are alike.

Achievements Connie’s Most Proud of

I am extremely proud to be the first woman in my family to go to college. I think it’s very important to be a good role model for the next generation! I am also proud to say I have taught Shakespearean theater to inner-city kids who don’t have access to the arts. Acting has been a lifesaver for me and I love giving back to my community.
